DR AMIT SHAH
BSc (Hons), MBChB (Hons), FRCR
I am a fully UK trained specialist MSK Radiologist and am certified by the General Medical Council (GMC). I joined University Hospitals of Leicester as a full time NHS Consultant in 2015 and subsequently moved to the Royal Surrey Foundation Trust, Guildford in 2024.
During my Radiology training in Leicester, I undertook a visiting MSK fellowship at the world-renowned Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford. I went on and completed a full MSK fellowship at a tertiary bone tumour centre, the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, Birmingham. Working at these specialist orthopaedic and tumour centres allowed me to fine tune my skills and expertise in MSK Radiology.
I am continually learning and keeping abreast with current evidence-based medicine and literature. I contribute actively to the advancement of MSK imaging with regular peer reviewed publications and taking part in educational activities.
I cherish the moments I get with my young family, who like to keep me on my toes. Unfortunately, this has taken a toll on my hair! I love unwinding to music and exercising my mind and body. I am not a keen chef…but I do love eating!
